After feeling depressed and everything etc.., wax is drawn into his world and all his drug study stuff and finally deciding that now was the best emotional time to take a psycho drug, he looks for Roy’s stash and finds some lsd... as he explains earlier in the film to roy… that “psychedelics are only worth taking if you have already lost your mind” (we can think of a better quote)
